Friends of the BluffWhat we do:The Friends of the Bluff (FoB) are a group of committed volunteers that have a common interest in caring for the welfare of the complete ecosystem of the Barwon Heads Bluff. The main aims of the group are to care for and maintain the remnant natural habitat; to rehabilitate the population of indigenous flora and fauna; and to encourage community appreciation of the natural environment of the Bluff. The group works in association with the management and staff of the Barwon Coast Committee of Management, Coastcare Victoria and Parks Victoria. FoB also maintains regular contact with major environmental organisations and other regional coast community groups. To achieve these aims, members are actively involved in partnering sustainable management strategies, implementing weed eradication programs, propagating and planting indigenous species, observing bird and animal life, and conducting interpretation and education sessions. FoB are also regularly involved in large conservation efforts such as Clean Up Australia day, Tree Planting days, Reef Watch and the Great Victorian Fish Count.
